In order to get rid of the touch screen issue reboot your phone and try the touch if it works properly. If that doesn't help try to factory reset your phone which can be done by navigating to settings from the application drawer and then select the option as "Privacy" in that select the option as Format data. Then see if that helps if that also is not helping then the only GO is to take your phone to a Service center.
    Hope this Helps.

For Any Kind of Hardware Issue, you need to contact a Authorised service center.
In your Case you should go for Sony Care.Don't go for Local unauthorised service center. They can damage your device too.

    Dear friend,
As all of us known that this problem has been raised due to the touch pad, it is not the issue which is related to your phone's software. This is totally a Hardware issue. I will suggest you to go to the authorized customer support center because they will assist you much better than a local person. Don't forget that the center where you go has to be authorized by the company otherwise it could be possible that you may loose your warranty or your phone could also be damaged.

    Thanks.

    dear Guest..

The following possibilities behind this are as follows:-

    1. Problem in hardware
    2. Software corrupt
    3. Software outdated
    4. Touch panel gets damaged
    5. Touch Sensor failure.

The possible solution for this are :-

    1. If there is any problem in your hardware, then take the handset to the service outlet.
    2. If there is any software related issue, then you must update your software from the internet or the service provider if your handset.
    3. If this problem is related to touch panel, then again you have to go to service centre.
    4. If there is any handset system failure then format your mobile or make a factory reset and save the default settings.

    Thank You Buddy...

    Hello friend,
There may be some software regarding issue to must have to rset your phone and then try again.

Remember, by performing a reset, all your data- settings, messages, apps, etc would be deleted.
    So backup up anything important.

    Follow these steps:
    - Go to 'Settings'.
    - Privacy.
    - 'Factory Data Reset'.
    - Fill in your id and password and confirm.
    - You can choose whether to delete SD card data or not.

After the process is complete, your device would return to its out-of-the-box state or to its factory settings.

    Regards!

For your problem, Try factory data reset option, other than this don; t try any other options due to warranty issues.

For factory data reset followed the below video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGAYC4J7Q8Y

    Or

Go to the main menu-->Settings-->Privacy-->Factory Data Reset-->Reset Phone-->Erase Everything.

If the problem persists contact your nearest authorized service center of your phone.Because they help very well regarding this type of issues due to Hardware or software faulty of your phone.

All the Best and Be happy.....
