Unable to connect android device to MacBook Air

I wanted to connect the LG android phone towards my newly bought MacBook Air device. The problem is that the connection cannot be installed due to an error message popping up and saying the connection has failed. What might be causing this issue? Please let me know how this issue can be fixed.

Re: Unable to connect android device to MacBook Air

    hey friend ..

If you are using usb cable to connect your phone with your MacBook air then following could be the reasons why you are not able to connect your phone with it..:
    - The data cable or the usb cable you are using is faulty
    - PC suite version is outdated

    - Your phone's usb jack is faulty or damaged
    - Drivers not working perfectly

Follow below steps to remove the problem :
    - Use the data cable in any other PC/laptop and then see whether it connects with phone or not .. If it does then it is not faulty and if it does not then its faulty
    - Try to connect your phone with another usb cable and then see for the fault in the phone's usb jack
    - Uninstall and reinstall the drivers
    - Check for any updates available for the PC suite

If you want to connect your phone with your MacBook air through bluetooth then following are the steps to do so:
    - Open bluetooth or switch it in on state on your phone and make sure it is discoverable
    - Open control panel in your MacBook air and open bluetooth devices there .. You have to choose 'add' there..
    - A pop up window will appear where you have to select my device is setup and ready to be found...
Now your phone will be searched by the MacBook air bluetooth and then you have to select that and click next...
    - Next you have to type a password there to add your phone to the MacBook air.. This password you have to enter into your phone when in the process its asked to do ..
    - You will be prompted to accept the connection from your MacBook air .. click yes ..
    - At last click on finish and you are now connected....

    thanks
