Unable to delete the read e-mails in Gmail on android

The inbox of my Gmail is almost filled and I wanted to delete some of the read e-mails. I selected a few of them and tried to delete. But nothing is getting deleted. Why is it so? Is there any way for fixing this issue? I am using Huawei android phone.

To delete the read or unread message you should first go to settings then open Gmail.In that chose your account or if account is already been chosen then open Inbox.Now after opening of Inbox will see all of your mails.Now tap on check box immediately will see a green mark.After selecting the mails below will see many options.In those options tap on Delete.Once you tapped on Delete your all the selected ,mails will be deleted.

hello dear you should check that your Gmail or background data is enable or not.once you active your background data then it will work automatically.if too you are facing problems for opening emails then should be check that password and Gmail or email combination is rights.once you will open your account then you become able to delete mails from accountall the best

If you are unable to delete read email into your ipad you should have to enable you background data and the problem will slove Or if you had problem to open your account then you may be enter worng password or id

1)OPEN YOUR INBOX.
2)WATCH YOUR MAILS.
3)CLICK ON THE SQUARE CHECK BOX ,THEN GREEN MARK WILL APPEAR.
4)NOW CLICK ON THE DELETE OPTION .
AND YOUR MAIL WILL BE DELETED.
