Since upgrading my HTC Sensation XE to Ice Cream Sandwich, I am not able to view the SD card in it. I have taken the SD card out and put it again after rebooting my phone. It does not make any large difference even though it worked for a shorter period of time. Is there any fix available for this issue?

Looks like some of the Important files required to read the SD CARD using the Operating System is corrupted. I would suggest you to do the following;
1) Check whether the Update procedure you did was Good.
2) Try to follow the Procedure again and check for File Error, If any Update and correct the Same.
3) Reboot the Device often for few days, that will automatically correct the files which are corrupted.
4) If nothing works for you, better get help from Service center.
After updating the Device, remove the SD CARD and Reboot the Device, Now insert the SD CARD memory and try to access the files if this does not help, better insert another SD card and check that is recognizing or not.
If the other card is also not working then we can conclude that there is a problem with the Device. Take the Device to service center and repair it.

Regarding this issue . After upgrade your Android OS to latest version you may lost some internal files regarding the settings of SdCard...
First check whether the SdCard is working or its corrupted.
By replace it in other device if its working means the problem is on your device if its not working means SdCard is corrupted buy new one...
Before that download anti virus software in your device and scan completely...
If any virus is there means it ill skip it out and then check if its SdCard able to view the files or not...
If its not responding to you means visit once service centre and check there...But my suggestion is just visit only company showrooms.,
