You android phone has the option to set the time and date automatically by the mobile operator. You need to first press the menu key from the home screen. Now, you need to tap on settings. In settings you need to search and locate the option called Date and Time. There you will be able to find the option called Automatic. You need to check on the checkbox on the right side of the Automatic option. To set time manually you need to again uncheck this option.

Re: Using the automatic settings from mobile operator to set my time and date on android phone?

    Hi,
The setting of automatic time is a native feature of android and it can be done by opening "Settings" from the application drawer and then select the option as "Date and Time". There will be an option as to set the time automatically that is the network provided values. The setting when enabled will make the phone to adjust the settings and that the time will be adjusted to the network provider and you don't have to update if there is any change in the Time Zone.
    Hope this Helps.
