    Hello

Mostly its the same. You cant use a hdd with your tablet though it has a high battery capacity.

Its the same as phones like usb pendrives, low powered mouse, keyboard etc

and most of the usb things have the software in .exe format which android doesnt support.

In microsofts new tablet called microsoft surface they have a usb 2 port with windows 8 as operating system so you can indeed connect anything you want and it will work.

    Thanks

    Hi,
With android tablets and android smart phone which has the facility of USB on the GO facility the compatibility of connecting USB devices are mostly of two type that is you will be able to connect a USB drive such as Pen drive which is mostly compatible with all the devices which has the functionality and also a Hard Disk drive most of the higher end devices will be able to connect to a Hard Disk drive, these two having a larger amount of compatibility with many devices and that some of the high end phones such as Samsung Galaxy S3 even have compatibility with connecting to consoles.
    Hope this Helps.

ok you can use almost all usb devices that consumes low power.this facility available on only on usb on the go feature supported phones.
You have to buy adapter to connect usb device to your phone or tablet.now connect the adapter to your phone side where you insert pin to charge phone.
and other side to usb device.
