What has to be done for accessing files from Mac using Google Nexus 7 android tablet?

I need to transfer some files from Mac computer to my Google Nexus 7 android tablet. But, I can’t establish connection between these devices via USB. What else should I do to carry out the file transfer?

First of all, you need to download ‘Android File System’ application into your Mac computer. Open the ‘DMG’ file afterwards for installing the app. Go to the ‘Applications’ folder and drag the app into it. Once installation process gets completed, connect the tablet to the system through USB cable. Launch the app and wait until it recognizes the tablet and show up the ‘Finder type’ window. You can then drag and drop files from Mac using this window for transferring it to the tablet. If you still getting the “No Device Found” message instead of the window then make certain that the tablet is in Media device transfer mode. Launch the notification tray for that and tap over the ‘Connected As’ option.
