    Rooting Motorola Atrix.

Follow these steps to root your device:

    - First of all download and install latest Motorola Drivers.
You can get them here: 32 bit / 64 bit.

    - After that download Pete's Motorola Root tool from here.
Extract this file and you will get an .exe file.

    - Make sure you have enough battery and USB Debugging mode turned on. Go to Settings > Applications > Development.

    - Now connect your device to the PC through USN Cable. Select memory card access.

    - Now run Pete's Motorola Tools (the .exe file).

    - Follow the on-screen instructions.

    - After the rooting process is complete, your device will reboot. Now disconnect USB.

    - Check whether there is an app named 'Superuser'. If it is there, it means your device is rooted.

    Regards!

In order to root your Motorola Atrix with GB follow the procedure
    Download the following file http://gititbit.ch/pub/root.zip
Place it your PC in the root of "C" drive by creating a folder by name Root and place the fastboot in that. The following link provides you the file http://gititbit.ch/pub/adb-fastboot.zip
Now turn off your phone and press and hold the "Power button" and "volume down" button. The phone will prompt for a fast boot and press volume up button.
Open a command prompt in your computer and type the following
    cd c:\root
    fastboot flash preinstall root.img
    fastboot reboot
Now your phone will reboot and then ensure USB debugging is enabled in settings->application->development
and then connect your phone to a PC and type the following
    adb shell
    /preinstall/dosu
    /bin/mount /system-o remount,rw
    cp /preinstall/su /system/bin/su
    chmod 6755 /system/bin/su
    PATH=/system/bin:$PATH pm install /preinstall/Supreuser.apk

Unplug your phone and you are rooted!.

You can do lots of things to improve the battery life. Rooting has its own disadvantages so think twice before rooting any of your Android devices. If your only problem is about battery there are better alternate ways to manage the Device than rooting.

For Rooting use the Link and follow the Procedure:
