Re: Why Manufactured doesn't Update the Android Version before Selling the Phone? How Should I update my Mobile OS?

I dont think this is a reasonable question. Since, android is an open source project and most of developments are being made daily by thousand of developers it is not easy to update and launch every phone with the latest OS version. When an android device is being made it is equiped with the latest OS version released for that time. But it takes some time to be launched in the market for people. In this "some time" a new version is developed by developers, thanks to vast community and its Open source project.
And one more reason is Android is developed by google but the devices are manufactured by various manufacturers, so since manufaturers are not using their own developed OSes they have to rely on Google and use the version provided by them.

Also it is not necessary to update your android device always. And also manufaturers provide updates for their devices ehen available. You can check their website for updates. And when a update is available you can update your phone yourself or go to the related service centre and they will do.

In your case you can connect your phone using KIES and check for update, if an update is available your dvice eill be automatically updated, if you have an internet connection.
You can also update your phone manually, all you have to do is search for a update on google or various forums and follow the instruction provoded their. You can also root your phone but it will void your warrant.

    Hi,

I have a simple answer for this as i have followed the same procedure to get my android version upgraded. First check out upto what version your android can be updated. This can be found out through your mobiles user manual.
If your phone still has the warranty and it has an option to get upgraded, you can just walk into any samsung service center with your warranty card and ask them to update the latest version. You can get this done for free of cost.

    Hope this wll be helpful

Re: Why Manufactured doesn't Update the Android Version before Selling the Phone? How Should I update my Mobile OS?

The Main reason is "Android OS" is developed by many Programmers and its an open source project. We dont have a definitive team to develop all the stuffs in s single, The updates and stuffs are developed every where and accumulated together in a single place and the product will be released.

Thats why we constantly getting updates for Installed Apps and updates for OS itself. Its very rare in case if its not an open source project, Manufacturers can release the device with a "Android version" available at the particular time when they want to launch their Handsets.

    hey friend....

I wonder why you asked this type of question ...
You said why cant mobile phones come with the updated versions ..

The answer to your query is that the mobile phones when manufactured are installed with the latest update available for that phone at that time....Then the phone takes time in reaching the dealers or distributors or outlets of the mobile where its not necessary that the phone will be sold out within the time until next update comes...

So, in a way you can say that the delay in the selling of the phone makes the updated software of phone an outdated version and hence you get the outdated version which you have to update later...

Hence it doesn't depends on the phone manufacturer as the manufacturer only installs the latest update in the phone available at the time of manufacturing phone...

    hope you understood now ..
    thanks

    Hello

See whenever the phone is out of the factory for sale they provide you with the latest software of that date. After some 2 to 3 months when they release a new update they expect you to update it your self or you can obviously ask in a service center.

They cant bring all the phones from the market and update it and again send it for sale. They sale millions of handset , that is why they release the update on internet which you can download from kies and update your firware.

To update to the latest version download samsung kies from the internet-->>then connect your phone via usb-->>it will automatically give you a notification that an new firmware is available do you want to update or not.

    Press ok and start upgrading.

    Few things to remember:

-->>make sure your phones battery is minimum 75%

-->>backup all your contents as you might face a loss of data

    -->>have a good internet connection

    Thank you

To update every phone with latest software.. it takes a large team of people to design the update for the specific mobile device..
Android is Open source in nature and is required to be designed specifically for each device..
Seeing the large number of android devices in market.. its not possible to rollout updates for every phone..
Therefore each company Roll out updates for its best product in market first.. then later for others..
So its easy to say such things on your end.. but its not feasible for the Manufacturers..

    hello

Samsung galaxy s latest version is 2.3.6 only , new version is released officially . it released soon , wait for the official version only don't go for unofficial version and don't do any upgrades by your own it cause you mobile damaged it cause your mobile software are corrupted . so wait for the new official upgrade and go to Samsung customer care services and ask them to upgrade your mobile version , If your mobile is in warranty period then you don't pay any money for it ,it is free of cost . Re: Why Manufactured doesn't Update the Android Version before Selling the Phone? How Should I update my Mobile OS?

    Dear Friend..

There is no answer to ask this question from the manufacturer's because they efforts is just to make handsets and they even don't know when a new version of Android OS comes in market and this is the reason, that they can't give you update but they also give you an option to update according to your needs.

Many users love to use Old Android Variants and this choice is given by the company to the buyer whether he wan't to update or not.
Again, if you need an advance OS in your mobile or tablet, then the handset configuration must be high so that it can run without any problem and for this, you need to pay some good amounts.

So my point is that, manufacturer's made these device after keeping in mind that what are the needs of a customer.
I hope you get my point.

    Thank You...

This is not a valuable or awnserable question you are complaining
Not asking. every manufacturer brand tries to do their best they gives
the latest version of android according to their eligibility they cant give
you 1ghz processor with android 1.6 they will give the 1ghz processor
with the suitable one and updates are available only for those
device which are suitable for it why do you think that you get
a non up to date device your android version is suitable with your
malware and hardware so calm down and do a analysis of your device
I am sure that you will found your device a master piece
