Windows 7 computer experiencing BSOD with error 116 while playing Skyrim

I assembled a desktop PC which runs in Windows 7 64 bit Professional, a few months ago. Recently, I installed a few games in my computer including Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The game works fine but after a few minutes, it crashes and the BSOD appears. I also get an error code 116. Most other games crash and gets me back to the desktop. What could be the problem as I have enough hardware requirements to play the game?

First, perform an update for Windows after finding latest updates. Now, check for the latest drivers for your graphics card. Install them. Now make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed in your PC. After all the updates have been made, try turning off the antivirus or pause the protection. You can resume protection after you are done playing the game. Now make sure that no processes are using up the CPU resource and the memory. If this doesn’t work, try running the game in ‘compatibility’ mode. Also try looking for any bug fixing patches for the game.
