Which android O.S Youur phone have if it is 2.1 then you cannot install in App/Games in Memory card . You can only install App/games in memory card From 2.2 onwards. For this problem try to free up your internal phone memory by deleting the unused appand games

How much is "enough" memory? If i remember correctly, you start to get warnings when your phone has less than 15 MB free. As I'm sure you guys are aware, a lot of people suffer from the lack of memory on the Desire and may not be a fixable problem due to the Desires limitations. The Fro-yo standard Apps to SD can only transfer parts of the app over and not the entire thing so that in itself is quite limiting. I'm sure I read that Gingerbread is more efficient at this and can store more on the SD so it could be worthwhile upgrading to the official update. But I don't think it would be a good long term solution.

Wiping emails and messages wont really make too much impact unless you have plenty of large attachments saved on your phone, but they should automatically save on to your SD card

Hmm maybe you might need to re-flash your ROM, but save your backup for files and stuff via copy and paste to your computer or use MyBackup or other backup apps
Dont do a nandroid backup because there isnt a point

I'm running the same ROM as you as i havent had any problems so far

Dear Guest , try clearing some storage space in your phone memory. Although the apps are downloaded in secondary storage memory , but while installing phone memory is used .

your card probably needs a format. sometimes viruses and unwanted files make the space unavaliable for use. you can also use some defragmenting software(if avaliable&compatible) and defragment the card because any app, game etc needs a continuous space in the memory. so,though you have a large amount of space the system, unable to recognize it shows low space. same things happens for old computers.

    If your mobile is showing "Insufficient Space" error then you need to check the following;
    1. Android version, The old versions used to install all the apps in mobile memory, you need to shift that to SD Card manually.
    2. Where your apps are getting installed by Default.
    3. Try to set "SD Card" as Default installation Location.
    4. if thats not working, then change all the installed apps from mobile to SD Card and free some space internally.

    Dear Friend,

I think this problem occoure for less memory in your android phone. Please download the app " Apps 2 sd " and convert some apps into your sd card. Please delete some apps which are not in use. I think after that your problem would be resolve. If problem still arise then go to your nearest service centre.

Re: How to fix Insufficient Space Problem while Installing any Apps/Games in my HTC Desire Phone?

    hey

Your phone is showing low memory just because of the low internal space of your phone ...
Or you can say that your phone's internal memory is full..
Also i might be possible that there are many applications or operations going on simultaneously which cause this memory issue

To solve this issue first of all just free up your phone's internal memory...
also you can try resetting your mobile and then see if the problem solved..
And also clear the caches , browsing history , cookies , etc and then try to install the games and apps...

    thanks

The apps and games you downloaded will take the support of phone memory to be installed. No matter how much free memory your memory card offers, but the phone memory matters. So, try to clear the phone memory as much as possible by deleting the useless stuff. Then you would not get these kind of insufficient memory problems on your device.

    Hello friend,

I will help you to solve your problem, don't worry just follow my steps.

1.Please make sure that while downloading games into your phone it should have atleast 30mb of internal space.

3.Some apps firstly get downloaded on to phone memory and then get on to the memory card.

4.So please do check the space available in your phone memory and then try downloading games.

Re: How to fix Insufficient Space Problem while Installing any Apps/Games in my HTC Desire Phone?

    Dear...

As you mentioned that you have 4 GB memory card with 1 GB free space but I think you didn't check that whether your downloaded and install Data comes in phone memory or memory card.

If it is going in phone memory then change your data storage mode and replace the phone memory and select the memory card for storage.

If it still create a problem, then your mobile have some virus which you need to remove with the help of Anti-Virus.
Or you can also format the memory card.

    Thank You

Re: How to fix Insufficient Space Problem while Installing any Apps/Games in my HTC Desire Phone?

    Hello friend,

I have the right solution for your problem, don't worry just follow my words.

1.Firstly note that all apps can't be installed into SD card.

2.They will get downloaded in the phone memory.

3.And after installation also some apps can only be movable to SD card and the rest which are system required apps will get stored in internal memory only.

4.So it is better to clear the internal memory of your phone by deleting all the unwanted apps.

5.And make a note that while downloading apps from Google play store you need to have atleast 30MB of internal space available.

Follow the above mentioned steps and your problem will get solved.

    All the best..........

Re: How to fix Insufficient Space Problem while Installing any Apps/Games in my HTC Desire Phone?

    Hello friend,

at first ,i want to clear your doubt that you can't use Sd card as a memory space for downloading.

your systems used Internal memory for installing Apps .

if "Insufficient space " shown in your mobile.it means that internal space is full.there will be no space for further installing.

Note : You can used SD card as internal Memory only After Rooting.
but root your phone on your own risk.

You can sort out "insufficient space" problems by following below steps :

    >>Clear all cache memory.

    >>Uninstall other apps that are not in used.

    >>You can use "Bitdefender tuneup" for cleaning internal memory space.

    >>you can also clean Unwanted data store in apps.

    thats it

i hope, these tips work for you
    thank you

Re: How to fix Insufficient Space Problem while Installing any Apps/Games in my HTC Desire Phone?

    Hi Friend,
You can increase the external storage with the memory card upto 32 GB of storage which can include all your music, video and all other user files.

To increase or free up the phone memory you will need to move the apps and user files in the internal memory. For that you will need extra apps...

Go to the playstore and download a better application manager app. You can search with Keywords: App2SD, Application Manager, App Manager and more.....
By this apps, you can move the apps in the internal memory to the SD card.

Even with this application manager, certain apps cannot be moved from internal storage to the SD card. That applications need to be in the internal storage as coded by the manufacturer or the programmer. A better way for making space is to move all the user files to the SD card. It can be done with the help of a File Manager App.

    Thank You....
