Wi-Fi issues on Samsung Galaxy Y

I have recently updated latest firmware on Samsung Galaxy Y. After that, my Wifi gets disconnected every 3 minutes. How can I fix it?

I thing this problem does not occur due to firmware. hence
firmware is the combination of read-only memory and program
code and data stored in it.
It is possible due to this update some program become corrupt
or may be your mobile hardware is not supporting that new
    version of firmware.
As my point of view you should try to uninstall that version and
reinstall old version then see problem is solved or not.
    All the best

Looks like the data associated with Wifi has been corrupted due to the update process you have done. Just check all the SETTINGS under Wifi and make sure you have placed all the conditions in Optimum.

Go to Settings --> Wireless and networks --> Wifi Settings -->Press Menu --> Go to Advanced --> Choose Wifi Sleep Policy --> Set that to never.

This might solve the issue, if the problem persists you need to downgrade the update you have done. All the Best

Hi, It looks like problem with your new firmware. Because i don't see an option of switching off the Wi-Fi in such a short time in Android mobiles.
So, try to check with your mobile service provider or try to reinstall the right version of firmware suitable for your phone model.
    All the best.

    Hi there,

As this problem arose when you installed the new firmware. so its logical to say the problem is related to the firmware only.
SO contact to your service provider regarding the issue
OR you can either try to re-install the firmware for your device..

    Regards!!!

    Dear,
This issue is not because of firmware Upgradation.
Here you have to varify that whether any Bettery saver app is installed on your Device.
Sometimes Wifi , Bluetooth related Issues occurs because of these apps in order to save your bettery.
If there is any such app remove it from your device.
Now try. Definateny no issues will there.
    Thank you..!!

As you ahvew mentionedl that recently your firmware has been updated. So According to me , the main reason for Wifi not working properly may be that the firmware not completely updated. You can once again update your Firmware and if you do not have more idea ,you can visit the nearest authorised center to update your firmware in order to have the correct info about the firmware

    Hello friend,
There may be some software regarding issue to must have to rset your phone and then try again.

Remember, by performing a reset, all your data- settings, messages, apps, etc would be deleted.
    So backup up anything important.

    Follow these steps:
    - Go to 'Settings'.
    - Privacy.
    - 'Factory Data Reset'.
    - Fill in your id and password and confirm.
    - You can choose whether to delete SD card data or not.

After the process is complete, your device would return to its out-of-the-box state or to its factory settings.

    Regards!
